Cabbage Soup Recipe

* 6 vast immature onions
* 2 immature peppers
* 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
* 3 Carrots
* 1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms
* 1 garland of celery
* half the conduct of cabbage
* 1 package Lipton soup mix
* 1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)
* 1 48oz can V8 extract (optional)
* Season to ambience with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.

Directions:

Slice immature onions, put in the pot as good as begin to saute with in progress spray.

Cut immature peppers branch finish off as good as cut in half, take the seeds as good as surface out. Cut the green-pepper in to punch distance pieces as good as supplement to pot.

Take the outdoor leafs layers off the cabbage, cut in to punch distance pieces, supplement to pot.

Clean carrots, cut in to punch distance pieces, as good as supplement to pot.

Slice mushrooms in to thick slices, supplement to pot.

If we would similar to the sharp soup, supplement the tiny volume of curry or cayenne peppers now.

You can make use of beef or duck bouillon cubes for seasonings. These have all the salt as good as flavors we will need.

Use about twelve cups of H2O (or 8 cups as good as the V8 juice), cover as good as put feverishness upon low. Let soup prepare for the prolonged time — dual hours functions well. Season to ambience with salt as good as pepper.

    Cabbage Soup Diet

    6 large green onions
    – 2 green peppers
    – 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
    – 3 carrots
    – 1 container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms
    – 1 bunch celery
    – 1/2 head cabbage
    – 1 package Lipton soup mix
    – 1 or 2 cubes bouillon (optional)
    – Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, garlic powder, etc.

    1. Slice green onions, put in pot and start to sauté with cooking spray.
    Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, take seeds and membrane out. Cut the green pepper into bite size pieces and put in pot.
    Take the outer leafs layers off the cabbage, cut into bite size pieces, put in pot.
    Clean carrots cut into bite size pieces, put in pot.
    Slice mushrooms into thick slices (otherwise they will disappear in the soup), put in pot.
    If you would like a spicy soup, add a small amount of cayenne pepper (red pepper) now (1÷3 teaspoon is quite a bit as the soup will get spicier as it cooks further).
    You can use beef or chicken bouillon cubes for seasonings. They have all the salt and flavors you will need.
    Use about 12 cups of water, cover and put heat on low. Let soup cook for a long time (two hours works well).
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  • Um, cabbage? I say forget it…you don’t need a fad diet to lose weight. Honestly, any diet that actually helps you lose weight, is because it has a reduced amount of calories than you normally eat…that’s why it works! So that means, you don’t have to limit yourself to certain foods to lose weight. Just eat healthy (fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean proteins, monounsaturated fats) and exercise regularly.

    I’ve never tried the cabbage soup diet (and I never will) but think about it– cabbage is a vegetable and it has fiber. It’s low in calories. Soup meaning you’re drinking plenty of fluids. Liquids fill up your stomach…therefore, you’re eating less calories than if you were to eat something less filling…that equals weight loss. But seriously, why would you want to limit yourself to only “allowed” foods for weight loss fad diets when you can just eat sensibly with a large variety of healthy foods and an occasional small piece of junk food? Plus, when you limit the variety of foods in your diet, you’re limiting the amount of nutrients (vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, antioxidants, etc) you’re getting. As everybody knows, eating healthy means eating a well balanced diet…that includes a wide variety of foods.

    1 head cabbage, shredded or chopped
    2 large onions, chopped
    16–28 ounces canned tomatoes, chopped
    2 green peppers
    4 stalks celery
    1–2 packages Lipton onion soup mix, or any dry onion soup mix (optional)
    black pepper
    any fresh herb(s) of your choice, chopped
    6 carrots, sliced
    1/2 pound green beans, sliced on diagonal
    1/2 cup balsamic vinegar (optional)
    Put all vegetables in a big pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, stir in the soup mix (if desired), and boil gently for 10 minutes. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer until all the vegetables are soft. Stir in the black pepper and chopped herbs (saving some for garnish).

    Here’s what else you can eat, and when you’re on a diet:

    DAY 1: All fruits except bananas.

    DAY 2: All vegetables, raw or cooked. This includes baked potato with a LITTLE butter.

    DAY 3: Fruits and vegetables, but no potatoes or bananas.

    DAY 4: Bananas and skim milk–eat as many as 8 bananas and drink as many as 8 glasses of skim milk.

    DAY 5: Beef, skinless chicken, and/or fish–as much as 20 ounces, total. You can also eat 6 tomatoes. And you must drink 8 glasses of water. Don’t forget at least one bowl of soup.

    DAY 6: Beef, skinless chicken, or fish and vegetables. Drink 8 glasses of water and eat at least one bowl of soup

    INGREDIENTS:
    6 large green onions (1 bunch)
    2 green bell peppers
    1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (14.5 ounce size, diced or whole)
    1 bunch celery, sliced
    1/2 head cabbage, chopped
    1 package (Lipton) onion soup mix
    1 or 2 cubes bouillon (optional)
    1 48 oz can V8 juice (optional)
    Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.*
    PREPARATION:
    Simmer or slow cook all until soup is done. *If slow cooking, add seasonings about an hour before done. Eat all the soup you want, whenever you want. This is the basic plan, shared by Sharon.
    First Day — All fruit is fine, except bananas; soup
    Day 2 — Any and all vegetables, baked potato with butter for dinner; soup
    Day 3 — Combine Day 1 and 2, without potato; soup
    Day 4 — Up to six bananas, all the skim milk you want; soup
    Day 5 — 10 to 20 ounces of beef, a can of tomatoes, 6 to 8 glasses of water; soup
    Day 6 — All the beef and vegetables you want; soup
    Day 7 — Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables; soup

    Note: No bread, alcohol, or carbonated beverages — not even diet soda

  • It ends up tasting like crap, but you actually loose weight. I lost 14 lbs in a week, but i pretty much gained it all back.
